Flow is Life eNews - April 2026

"For still there are so many things that I have never seen:
in every wood in every spring there is a different green."

J.R.R Tolkein
Author (1892-1973)

Camellia in Bloom

Camelia in BlossomIt is so obviously Spring! I feel that this wonderful season is bursting forth with more vibrancy than in previous years; as demonstrated by our Camellia (pictured above) displaying a profusion of beautiful blooms, after many years of struggling to produce just a few small ones - a true lesson in patience and belief!

Spring, in terms of the Chinese Five Elements, is the emerging YANG energy of Wood. This season is full of life waking from slumber; buds are plumping, shoots reaching for the sun, hibernating animals and insects are stirring, birds are delightfully noisy as they welcome each Spring morning.

Spring is considered to be the Dawn in the Cycle of Life, where the energies of YIN (night) melds into YANG (day); providing a harmonious and healthy transition as life cycles through the coming days, seasons & years.

We, too, can welcome Spring by cultivating practices of self-care, kindness, and allow ourselves to savour the merging vitality that is naturally developing within us.

When we open to this approach then we are able to safeguard
the health and wellbeing of our own life cycle.

Why not consider joining us, in class or in the woods, so that you can cultivate a practice of self-care and kindness as you enjoy the nourishing energy of Spring and the Wood element - you will be so welcome.

In the meantime take care

Janet 🙏
