QiGong Activation - Flow is Life

Classes

Apart from gaining physical and mental health benefits, the experience of Qi and awareness to oneself is both empowering and enlightening.

Quoting Dr Roger Jahnke

The integration of movement, breath, and voice helps to integrate and balance the body, mind and emotions.

What can I expect in a QiGong Class?

Each class features a welcoming blend of mindful movements, breathwork, self-massage and meditation that supports the focus and theme of the class.

These are inspired by many things, such as seasonal changes, the meridian system (the pathways in which Qi flows through the body), physical movement, animals or different aspects of Nature.

There are some wonderful sets with some great names; Animal Frolics, Silk Reeling, Dragon Moves, 8 Silk Brocades, Primordial Qigong, Healing Sounds, etc.

The practice of QiGong follows the Taoist view of life being lived with flow and effortless ease or unforced activity (Wu Wei).

Classes follow this principle as we connect more deeply with self and develop the vital and healing power of Qi.

We will enjoy practicing either indoors or outside
at the venues - as weather permits!

What do I wear and bring to a class?

The following are suggestions

Clothing that allows for:

  • freedom of movement and alignment

  • the body warming and cooling

  • preserving dignity!

Footwear: bare feet is preferable, or non-slip socks, "Tai Chi" shoes or close-fitting shoes with a thin sole

Equipment: non, unless you prefer to stand on something like a yoga mat

Water: in a spill-proof bottle

Above all bring yourself with an
open mind & heart!

ALL mobile, digital and electronic devices must be switched off during class.
