Each Forest Bathing experience is shaped by a variety of factors, making every session distinct. These factors include the ever-changing natural environment, the location, the skills, knowledge and experience of the leader and the dynamics of the group.
Quoting Washington Irving
There is a serene and settled majesty to woodland scenery that enters into the soul and delights and elevates it, and fills it with noble inclinations.

Each session may be influenced by the seasons, aspects of Nature, related 'facts', stories, folklore, and our senses.
A session may include any of the following:
gentle movement to warm-up movement
slow mindful silent walking
periods of stillness and reflection
'invitations' - suggested techniques that will enable connection to self and Nature
opportunities to share, insights, thoughts, etc.
A choice of 3 sessions a month on a Monday, Wednesday or Sunday, starting promptly at 08:00 (am) for approximately 2 hours
We cover between 1 and 2 miles
The Woodland
I am privileged to have permission to lead sessions in a lovely private woodland near to Hadleigh, Suffolk, UK.
The 200 acres of ancient woodland is home to an array of plants, animals and wildlife. The dedicated owners and their two full-time woodmen are passionate about caring for the land, working together on their long-term plan, to keep this wonderful space thriving for years to come.
I love the woodland! Its quiet, natural, welcoming and comforting energy, no matter the season or weather conditions and, despite the work that is in progress.
Whilst the woodland is relatively level, the routes and trails are varied.
We may be walking on grassy or muddy tracks, old concrete roads, narrow or wide, flat or rutted pathways, all of which have been crated over many years by the resident wildlife and by man going about his work.
Please ask Forest Bathing Participants to be aware that:
they are permitted on the Land for the allotted pre-organised Forest Bathing session only and not at any other time
access to the Land, and walking through, is via forestry tracks and natural pathways
there is no signage to or within the woodland **
the Land Owner and Permit holder accept no responsibility for damage to personal property or vehicles and request that when accessing the land to:
drive slowly, carefully and respectfully along the designated routes only
park carefully and respectfully in the allocated parking area only
there are no toilets or washing facilities available on the Land
** Planned work and weather may affect access to and routes within the woodland,
this is why all necessary details, including directions, will be provided in the final confirmation & reminder email
approximately 3 days before the start of the session.
